Dr. Neerja Pauranik (DGO, MS,FICOG,IBCLC)

With over three decades of rich professional experience in her fields of obstetrics & gynecology, Dr. Neerja Pauranik is a clinician of repute who treated several patients suffering from gynae related problems and gives every patient the best of medical care. She has special interest in laparoscopic surgeries, NDVH, high-risk pregnancy management & Breastfeeding.

Obstetrician & Gynecology

Dr. Neerja has done special trainings in OB-GYN USG, Microsurgery from AIIMS New Delhi. She has performed live surgical operation demonstrating Non-descent vaginal hysterectomies.

She is involved in many medico-social works pertaining to public health education and awareness.

As the chair person of Rotary Mega Rubella project she had spearheaded and supervised vaccination of more than 70,000 girls in different colleges of Indore and nearby villages.

Education & Experiences

She completed her MBBS,DGO and MS from MGM Medical College, Indore. She served Family Planning Association of India New Delhi as Laparoscopic surgeon, M.Y. Hospital and MGM medical college in OB-GYN department as Sinior Registrar for seven years, at Bombay Hospital, Indore (2004-2019) as Head of the Department of OBGYN.

  • President of Indian Menopause Society Indore chapter
  • Treasurer of Association of Madhya Pradesh Gynecological and Obstetric Society
  • Editor of IMA (Indian Medical Association) Indore branch
  • City coordinator of Breast Feeding Promotion network of India (BPNI)
  • Chair person of Rotary Rubella Vaccination Program.
  • President of Inner Wheel Club of Indore Uptown

    • Dr Neerja Pauranik has a unique distinction of being one of the few LACTATION CONSULTANTS in Central India. She is passionate in helping mothers having any problems with Breastfeeding and advocating optimum Breastfeeding for last 25 years.

  • In different social organizatiion she regularly delivers lectures on promotion of breast feeding Adolescent health and other issues related to women.
  • She has written many health-related literatures for public awarness including books on Breast Feeding, Hysterectomy and Menopause in Hindi.
